Day 1

Pick up your car at the airport and self-drive to your 4**** Resort (private transfer option also available).

A Welcome Dinner is waiting for you, featuring typical Tuscan food and local wines. The perfect start for your Tasteful Journey !

Day 2

In the morning, visit the nearby medieval village of Montepulciano. Perched on top of a limestone ridge, the town overlooks hectares of vineyards, the very same that produce the renowned Vino Nobile DOCG.

Walk around the historical center and stop for lunch to taste Pici, typical handmade pasta from the area.

In the afternoon, visit to a winery for tasting of Montepulciano wines, including the Vino Nobile DOCG.

Day 3

One of the highlights of this itinerary: a full day by a family run organic farm - producing wine, sheep's and goat's cheeses, olive oil, honey, pasta, sauces, and spreads! 

Start with a guided tour of the farm, from the barn to the dairy. Here you will be able to learn more about the cheese production, including a tasting in the end. 

Continue with a hands-on cooking class run by the owner of the farm, followed by lunch with wine pairing.

Explore the surrounding area before heading back for dinner (truffle hunting available on request)​.

Day 4

Drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Val D’Orcia and stop en route in the most iconic villages of the area: San Quirico D’Orcia and Pienza

On the way back, stop by the natural hot spring of Bagni Vignoni: enjoy the sunset, overlooking Tuscan landscape!

Day 5

Relaxing day to enjoy the resort facilities, or take a day trip (Siena, Arezzo, Cortona are recommended - we will arrange it for you).

Day 6 

In the morning, drive to the medieval village of Montalcino, home of the king of red wines: the Brunello.       

With its cobblestone streets, the village is a wonderful place to stroll around among crafts shops, cafes, wine bars and restaurants where can you enjoy a delicious gourmet lunch.

Continue with the visit of a local winery, including tour of the vineyards, cellars, and tastings of Brunello DOCG.

Day 7

Drive south and enter the region of Umbria to visit picturesque Lake Trasimeno, surrounded by sunflower and corn fields, vineyards and olive groves.

 

Take a boat from the medieval village of Passignano - site of the 14th-century - to reach Maggiore Island.

Enjoy a lunch with traditional local products, including fish and the Slow Food presidium Fagiolina del Trasimeno.

Farewell dinner at your resort. A surprise is waiting for you!
